Robert G. Lev, Esq.
During his years prior to practicing law, Robert Lev worked in the field of electrical engineering. He participated in the development and marketing of new electrical power switching equipment and in the application of new technologies to existing systems. Additionally, he received numerous commendations for his development of new business and the expansion and implementation of new marketing strategies. As a Senior Primary Patent Examiner in the electrical engineering field, he dealt extensively in the arts of mobile and cellular telephones, paging systems, audio transducers, electronic banking systems, pay telephone systems, credit card systems, television camera design and other technologies. His field of expertise has been enhanced by long-term exposure to mechanical devices, industrial systems and construction techniques. During his tenure in Federal service, he was placed on the "Best Qualified" list for appointment to the Board of Patent Appeals and Interferences. He also earned numerous commendations throughout his career in government service. In 1981, he earned his Juris Doctor Degree at the Delaware Law School of Widener University. Thereafter, he entered private practice specializing in Patent, Trademark and Copyright Law with additional practice in patent licensing, joint ventures, and intellectual property auditing. Mr. Lev's expertise broadened to include the fields of: semiconductor design, operations and manufacture; advanced intelligent telephone networks; CDPD; ultrasonics; holography; laser operation; and computer control of various industrial processes. Included among his clients were Bell Atlantic, Mitsubishi, and The National Institute of Standards and Technology. As a lecturer, Robert Lev has spoken before foreign and domestic audiences constituted by businessmen, engineers and patent practitioners on topics including: comprehensive intellectual property audits; the practical extent of patentable subject matter; and the impact of intellectual property on Russian-American joint ventures. As part of Robert Lev's personal philosophy, Lev Intellectual Property Consulting has embraced a commitment to the development of the community and the general business environment of the Youngstown and Warren, Ohio area. This includes active involvement in the education of past and present employees.
